Computer numerical controlled lenticular lathe for prescription or stock production of front surfaces

This machine is designed for both stock production (up to 2400 surfaces per operator per eight hour shift using five machines) and prescription production (up to 870 surfaces per operator per eight hour shift using three machines). High quality surface finish is produced on both single lenses and stock production. Variable spindle speed and feed rates facilitate short cycle times for increased production.

This semi automatic lathe has been specially designed to cut convex bi curve spherical surfaces (front lenticular surfaces) in one cutting sweep of a double topslide which must be set manually from computer derived instructions. Immediately the lathe is set for each pair of curves, the cutting cycle is automatically sequenced at the touch of a button. Suitable for hard, soft and gas permeable materials.
